FULLERTON, Calif. — Donovan Oday has signed to join the men's basketball program in 2023-24, head coach Dedrique Taylor announced. 

"Donovan is another high character young man who has some experience under his belt," Taylor said. "His athleticism, speed, skill and ability to guard the ball provide us with what we need to compete for a conference title. I am excited about what he brings to our program.

A 6-foot-3 guard from Arlington, Texas, Oday spent last season playing for McNeese State, where he averaged 4.8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest. He shot 35% from the floor in 25 games, starting in two. 

Oday prepped at Mansfield Timberview High School, where he was named a First Team All-District 8-5A honoree. He also earned TABC 5A All-State honors after averaging 16.5 points and 5.0 assists per contest. 

Oday is the seventh player to sign with the Titan program for the 2023-24 campaign. He joins Jalen Cooper of Holiday, Florida, Beril Kabamba of Clearwater, Florida, Zach Visentin of Spanish Fork, Utah, Keith Richard of Dallas, Texas, Kendrick De Luna of San Antonio, Texas and Antwan Robinson of East St. Louis, Illinois.
