Men's Basketball Sends Pacific Home with a Loss

FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's basketball were in control from the tip as it took down Pacific 66-57 Saturday night at Titan Gym. With the win the Titans improve to 4-4 on the year. 

Fullerton was in the lead for a majority of the game, including the entire second half. Pacific's only lead was at the 10:23 mark in the first half with the score 14-13. 

Tray Maddox Jr. had a game-high and personal season-high 21 points on an impressive 7-of-13 while shooting 5-of-9 from the three point line. Maddox Jr. also added four boards and three assists. The senior really got going in the second half of play, scoring 15 of his 21 in the second. 

E.J. Anosike added 14 points and a game-high eight rebounds while Dante Maddox Jr. scored eight points on 3-of-5 shooting including 2-of-4 from behind the arc.

Jalen Harris and Vincent Lee both added a spark off the bench for the Titans with seven and six points, respectively. Both were extremely efficient, Harris shot 3-of-6 while Lee was a perfect 2-of-2. Has he typically does, Ibrahim Famouke Doumbia got the crowed on its feet, this time with a monster put back dunk late in the first half to extend the Titans lead to five.

Cal State Fullerton is back on the court Wednesday as the team heads south to take on San Diego State. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. PT.
