LOS ANGELES - Cal State Fullerton men's basketball held a six-point lead at halftime but went cold in the second half and ultimately fell at Loyola Marymount on Sunday afternoon by a score of 53-46. Eli Scott led the Lions with a game-high 26 points. Senior forward Jackson Rowe led the team in scoring with 15 points, five rebounds and four blocks.

The Lions (6-7 overall) out-scored the Titans (3-10 overall) 36-23 in the second half to secure the win. Fullerton led 25-17 at 18:45 in the second half for its largest lead of the game but went cold, shooting just 6-23 (26.1 %). LMU did not shoot well either as it shot 35% (19-55) from the field and just 1-11 from three but it did shoot 70% (14-20) from the free-throw line. For the game, Fullerton shot 15-44 (34%) from the field, 11-19 (58%) from the stripe and 5-20 (25%) from three.

Rowe scored nine of his 15 points in the first half as he connected on three three-point field goals. His four blocks were one shy of his career high. Senior guard Austen Awosika struggled shooting as he tallied just four points, all from the free-throw line. But he did tally a season-high eight assists, seven rebounds and three steals. Redshirt freshman forward Vincent Lee scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds with two blocks.

Next up, the Titans play at UCLA on Saturday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. PT. The game will be broadcast live on the Pac-12 Network.
