Men’s Basketball Hosts Harvard on Final Day of Wooden Legacy

FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's basketball will square off against the Harvard Crimson for the first time in program history on Sunday at Titan Gym. The game will take place at 6:30 p.m. PT on the final of The Wooden Legacy.

The Titans are 2-3 on the year and 1-1 in Wooden Legacy play. After a tough 64-57 loss to Georgia on Thursday where they led for 30 minutes, the Titans rallied on Friday to defeat Sacramento State 68-63.

Harvard is 3-3 this season and also 1-1 in The Wooden Legacy. Tommy Amaker's squad, who were selected as the Ivy League favorites this season, are led by point guard Bryce Aiken who averages 18.3 points per game and also dishes out four assists a game. Seth Towns is second on the team in scoring at 15.8 points per game and is first in rebounding at 5.8. Chris Lewis is a force inside for the Crimson, scoring 13.5 points and grabbing 5.5 rebounds per game. He's also blocked 10 shots this season and recorded eight steals, both of which lead the team.

Junior guard Kyle Allman, Jr. is averaging 14.8 points per game this season to lead the Cal State Fullerton Titans. He is also the leading scorer in The Wooden Legacy, averaging 23.5 points over the last two games. Allman scored a career-high 34 points on Thursday against the Bulldogs.

Fellow junior guard Khalil Ahmad had a breakout scoring night on Friday against Sacramento State as he posted a season-high 25 points, just two shy of his career high. He connected on four three-pointers and 5-5 at the charity stripe.

The Titans entered The Wooden Legacy ranked 351 in the nation in free-throw percentage at 49%. Against Georgia on Thursday, the team shot 20-28 and then shot 20-23 against Sacramento State.

Cal State Fullerton has guarded the three-point line well the last two games. Georgia shot just 4-12 from distance and Sacramento State shot 31.8% from deep, hitting 7-22.

Following The Wooden Legacy, Homecoming is on Dec. 2 for Cal State Fullerton as the Titans host Cal Lutheran at 6 p.m. PT.
