Fullerton to Host Postseason Play for First Time in School History

FULLERTON, Calif.--- After finishing the regular season with its most wins since 2012, the Titans have accepted a bid to host the Riley Wallace Classic vs. Weber State, Thursday at 7 pm PT inside Titan Gym. The game will serve as the opening round for the College Insider.com Postseason Tournament.

 

As a thank you to loyal Titan fans, ALL students and season ticket holders will receive FREE entry to the game. This will be the first time Cal State Fullerton has hosted a postseason game in school history. Fullerton's first round opponent will be announced later tonight when the rest of the field is unveiled.

The Ticket Office is located at the Titan House off of Gymnasium Drive at the eastern end of the Intramural Fields and is open from 10 am – 4 pm PT, Monday – Friday.

 

"I am incredibly proud of this team and how hard they have worked this season," said head coach Dedrique Taylor. "Our program has made some significant accomplishments, and I am excited to accept this invitation to play in the postseason. I am even more thrilled that our players, especially our seniors, will have the opportunity to continue this year and play again at Titan Gym."

The Titans will now be participating in postseason play for the seventh time in program history and for the first time since 2012, where Fullerton also took part in the CIT. The Titans rattled off seven victories over its final nine contests to finish the season, including a furious run to the Big West Tournament semifinals, where they nearly took down eventual Big West champion UC Davis in overtime. Fullerton finished the regular season 17-14 overall to go along with a third place finish in league play with a 10-6 conference mark.
