OPPONENTS & HISTORY

UC Davis | 7:30 p.m. | Prime Ticket

Thursday, Feb. 18 | Titan Gym

The Titans have won four of their last five games with the only loss in that stretch coming at the hands of UC Davis at The Pavilion on Feb. 8. The Aggies come into Saturday night's game off an overtime loss at Long Beach State and are now currently tied with UC Irvine atop the Big West Conference standings.

Head-To-Head:

The Titans lead the overall series against the Aggies, 16-15. The teams split the season series in 2015-16 but the Aggies have won seven of the last 10 meetings.

Last Meeting:

Cal State Fullerton struggled in the second half and fell to first-place UC Davis, 74-65, in a Big West Conference game on Feb. 8 at The Pavilion in Davis, Calif. The Titans (10-12, 4-5) shot just 34.7 percent in the second half against the Aggies (15-9, 7-2), who remained undefeated at home. Tre' Coggins led the way for Fullerton with 16 points and five rebounds while Jackson Rowe added 11 points, six rebounds and three assists. Lionheart Leslie scored 10 on 5-for-7 shooting in 17 minutes of action. Brynton Lemar set a new career high for the Aggies as he poured in 29 points on 6-for-12 shooting and 4-for-8 from 3-point range. He sank 13 of his 16 free throw attempts. Siler Schneider added 17 points while Chima Moneke scored 14 to go along with seven rebounds.

TITANS AND CONFERENCE PLAY

Cal State Fullerton is in its 43rd season as a member of the Pacific Coast Athletic Association/Big West Conference and holds an overall record of 296-391 all-time. The PCAA changed its name to the Big West Conference in the 1988-89 season and since then, the Titans hold a 193-288 record.  Fullerton won regular season titles in 1975-76 (PCAA) and 2007-08 (Big West) and conference tournament championships in 1977-78 (PCAA) and 2007-08 (Big West). From 1967-74, CSF played in the California Collegiate Athletic Association and posted a 24-36 mark.

LAST TIME OUT - CAL STATE FULLERTON 56, UC RIVERSIDE 55

Lionheart Leslie carried the Cal State Fullerton offense in the second half and Kyle Allman hit the game-winning layup with 17 seconds left to lift the Titans to a 56-55 victory over UC Riverside Thursday night at SRC Arena in Riverside, Calif. Leslie scored 12 of his game-high 13 points in the second half and was the only Titans (12-12, 6-5) player to hit multiple field goals in the last 20 minutes. Allman saved his only basket of the second half for the most important moment, knifing his way into the lane and beating the Highlanders (7-16, 5-7) defense for a layup with 17 seconds left to put the Titans up one. Fullerton had to dodge one more bullet as Secean Johnson got a wide-open look at a 3-pointer but it went long and clanged off the back iron to help the Titans escape with the victory. Allman finished the game with 11 points and a team-high four assists. The Titans have now won four out of five games and are above .500 in conference play for the first time since Jan. 12 when they beat Cal Poly to go 2-1 in conference.

THE WILD WEST

Fullerton currently sits in the No. 5 seed for the upcoming Big West Conference Tournament. The Titans are just a two games back of UC Davis and UC Irvine for the top spot in the Big West. The No. 1 and No. 7 seeds are separated by just 3.5 games heading into the last two weeks of the regular season.

THIEVERY IS STILL ENCOURAGED

The Titans recorded nine more steals in Thursday night's victory at UC Riverside. Lionheart Leslie led the way with three while Kyle Allman and Austen Awosika each had two thefts on the night. It was the second straight game Fullerton recorded nine steals in a game. The Titans have averaged 8.25 steals a game in the last four outings.

CARDIAC TITANS

Fullerton dodged a last-second 3-pointer on Thursday night to record a one-point victory over the Highlanders. The Titans are now 3-0 this season in games decided by four or less points.

LIVING IN THE 50s

Cal State Fullerton held UC Riverside to 55 points on Thursday night and the Titans are now 3-0 when limiting opponents between 50-59 points a game this season.

THE BODYGUARDS

Cal State Fullerton trotted out a four-guard lineup for the second time this season in Thursday night's win at UC Riverside. The Titans have won both games with the other coming on Feb. 2 at UC Santa Barbara.

DOUBLE IT THREE TIMES

All 12 of Fullerton's wins this season have come when three or more Titans score in double figures. Fullerton is 7-4 when three players record double digits, 2-2 when four players hit 10 or more and 3-0 when five or more players eclipse the 10-point mark.

SWEET SIXTEEN

Jackson Rowe tied his career-high and matched his team season-high with 16 rebounds in Thursday's win at UC Riverside. It was his fourth double-digit rebounding performance of the season but first since Jan. 12 at Cal Poly. Rowe currently leads the team and is ranked fourth in the conference in rebounding, averaging 6.9 boards a game.

TITANS TEAM RANKS

The Titans are second in the Big West Conference in blocks per game (3.8) and total blocks (92), defensive rebounds per game (26.96) and overall rebounding at 37.71 a game. Additionally, Fullerton is ranked third in the Big West in scoring average (74.4 ppg), second in field goal percentage (45.3%), and third in field goal percentage defense (42.4%).

PAINT BY NUMBERS

Cal State Fullerton has outscored its opponents 772-607 in the paint this season. The Titans have been outscored in the paint four times this season after UCR outscored them 32-20 on Thursday. Prior to that, Fullerton had not been outscored in the paint since Jan. 14 at UC Irvine.
