Ahmad Inelgible for Fall Semester

FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton sophomore guard Khalil Ahmad has been deemed academically ineligible for the fall semester, it was announced today.

"It's obviously a blow to our team and a tough setback for Khalil," said Head Coach Dedrique Taylor. "But we know he is working hard to get through this and get back in good standing academics-wise as well as getting back on the court and he will have the support of this team and staff through this process."

Ahmad was named the 2015-16 Big West Conference Freshman of the Year and earned Honorable Mention for the All-Conference squad after averaging 14.3 points a game, setting CSF freshman records for points (429), points per game (14.3), field goals made (139), free throws made (115) - beating the old rookie record by a total of 35 - and free throw percentage (.772).
