Brooks finished his collegiate career at Cal State Fullerton, averaging 12.2 points per game during his senior season (2015-16) for the Titans.
"I couldn't be more excited for Malcolm as he takes the next step in his basketball career," fourth-year Cal State Fullerton men's basketball head coach Dedrique Taylor said. "Malcolm has worked exceptionally hard to earn this opportunity."
The Brooklyn native played in 25 games last season, made 19 starts, and was second on the team knocking down 41 three-pointers which also ranked ninth in the Big West Conference.
He reached double figures in scoring on 17 occasions which included four games of 20 points or more, while leading the Titans in scoring seven times.
Brooks utilized his redshirt season during the 2014-15 campaign at Cal State Fullerton after transferring from Pepperdine (2013-14). Prior to Pepperdine, Brooks played two seasons at Lamar Community College in Colorado.
