DAVIS, Calif. – Senior D.J. Seeley finished with a game-high 32 points to lead three other teammates in double figures and visiting Cal State Fullerton rallied from an eight-point second-half deficit to outscore UC Davis, 95-88, in a Big West Conference clash on Thursday night at The Pavilion.

The win improved the Titans to 11-8 overall and 4-3 in league play, snapping a two-game losing streak in the process and improving to 8-1 this season when scoring 80 points or more. The Aggies fell to 7-11 overall and 3-4 in the Big West with the loss, snapping their two-game winning streak.

It was Seeley's third, 30-point scoring performance of the season as the senior finished 11-of-16 from the floor and 5-of-8 from beyond the arc. He also added six assists and four steals in 39 minutes. Senior backcourt mate Kwame Vaughn scored 18 of his 20 points in the second half to go with six assists and three steals while Sammy Yeager (16 points, 8 rebounds) and Alex Harris (10 points, six rebounds, four assists) also finished in double figures.

Reigning Big West Player of the Week, Corey Hawkins, shared team-high honors with 22 points for Davis along with teammate J.T. Adenrele while Ryan Sypkens (18) and Josh Ritchart (11) completed a group of four starters in double digits.

Fullerton trailed by as many eight points just four minutes into the second half after Davis
had used an 11-3 run over the final three minutes of the first period to take a five-point lead into the locker room at the break. A 9-3 burst cut the Aggies' advantage down to two and, after falling behind by five with 11 minutes to play, the Titans used another 8-2 run capped by a three-pointer from Harris to take their first lead, 70-69, since the two minute mark of the first half.

Paolo Mancasola converted a three-point play and Yeager matched him with a three-pointer of his own before Ryan Howley scored inside for a one-point Davis advantage. That would be the Aggies last lead of the ballgame as Vaughn converted a three-point play and Harris hit two from the line for a four-point Fullerton lead.

The Titans' advantage grew to as many as six points on another three-pointer by Harris with 6:24 to play and Fullerton hit 5-of-6 from the line in the final minute as Davis went cold (1-of-5) down the stretch and hit just 1-of-2 from the line after finishing 24-of-29 for the game.

Cal State Fullerton shot just under 55 percent from the field for the contest, including a 56 percent clip in the second half to rally, and outrebounded the Aggies, 32-27, for the contest. UC Davis shot just under 51 percent for the game.

The Titans return to the court on Saturday (Jan. 26) at 7 p.m. as they take on Pacific for the final time as members of the Big West Conference at the Spanos Center in Stockton. The Tigers, who defeated UC Riverside by a 63-58 count on Thursday, will join the West Coast Conference beginning with the 2013-14 season.
