Pair of Titans Named Summer League All-Stars

Fullerton, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton baseball has had two players selected to participate in the 2010 California Collegiate League Scouts Day/All-Star Game at the MLB Urban Youth Academy in Compton on July 14.

Junior Walker Moore will represent his summer club the Santa Barbara Foresters on the CCL Americans squad, while redshirt freshman Austin Kingsolver will represent the San Luis Obispo Blues for the CCL Nationals.

Moore has made a pair of starts for the Foresters and has gone 2-for-8 (.250) with an RBI. For the Titans in 2010, he played in 44 games and made 16 starts and hit .227 with 11 RBI in the outfield and at first base.

Kingsolver hit .247 with the Titans splitting his time as a starter and a defensive replacement in all three outfield positions. The left-handed hitting Kingsolver also used his speed to steal 10 bases.

For the Blues, Kingsolver has been on fire, hitting .390 (16-for-41) with 3 doubles, two triples and 7 stolen bases in just 11 games.

Fifty All-Stars and prospects for all seven of the CCL teams will be on hand for the midseason showcase. The All-Star Game will be televised regionally on Fox Sports West and nationally via the Fox Sports network of affiliates and also replayed throughout July and August. The July 14 game will begin at 7 p.m.
