FULLERTON, CA - Cal State Fullerton's Khris Davis finished with three hits, including a pair of home runs, and Head Coach Dave Serrano earned his 200th career coaching victory as the Titans punched their ticket to the Super Regional round with a 16-3 victory over Utah on Sunday night in front of 2,185 fans at Goodwin Field.

Fullerton improved to 45-14 overall on the season, extending its winning streak to seven straight games and advancing to its 10th NCAA Super Regional in school history. The Titans will meet either Louisville or Vanderbilt beginning next weekend.

Utah finished its season at 28-31 overall.

Freshman right-hander Tyler Pill (11-3) earned the win on the mound, pitching eight strong innings while allowing just three runs (two earned) on seven hits and striking out nine without a walk. Stephen Streich (2-4) took the loss, allowing eight earned on 10 hits in four innings of work.

Three other Fullerton players finished with three hits on the night to pace a 21-hit attack for the Titans, who had seven batters finish with multiple hits. Cal State Fullerton averaged 13.6 runs and 20 hits for the three games, batting .476 (60-for-126) as a team in regional play.

The Titans loaded the bases in the first with a walk and a pair of singled before plating the first run on a Jared Clark ground ball to make it 1-0. A two-run single in the third by Josh Fellhauer extended the lead and Davis homered to lead-off the fourth to open the floodgates.

Joey Siddons added a two-run single later in the inning and Gary Brown added an RBI double for the 7-0 advantage and the Titans cruised from there.

Utah broke up the shutout in the fourth on C.J. Cron's 11th home run of the year to make it 7-1, but five more runs in the fifth on hits by Clark, Siddons, and Colon, a wild pitch with a runner at third, and a sacrifice fly by Garneau to make it 12-1.

Two more runs in the sixth on a single by Joe Scott, and single runs in the eighth and ninth - both courtesy of Davis - capped the scoring.

The Utes added single runs in the sixth and eighth innings on an infield hit by Cron and an error for the final 16-3 count.

Michael Beltran finished 2-for-3 for Utah while six other players had hits.
