FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton and Head Coach Jason Dietrich have announced the promotion of Jake Pavletich to full-time assistant coach.
"Jake Pavletich is a rising star in the coaching profession," Dietrich said. "Jake has worked hard to earn this full-time assistant coach position. He is going to be coaching our catchers, first base coach and helping coach Walton with the hitters along with assisting in our recruiting efforts. Jake knows what it takes to be a Titan!"
Pavletich served as the Titans volunteer assistant coach last seasons and director of player devlopment during the 2022 season.
"I want to thank coach Dietrich and Titan Athletics for this opportunity to continue to help guide former, current and future Titans in the right direction," Pavletich said. "Cal State Fullerton greeted me with open arms and gave me a chance as a student-athlete in the fall of 2014. Fullerton has always had a special place in my heart. I am honored and humbled to be a part of this coaching staff at this historic program. Let's get to work. Go Titans!"
Pavletich played five years at Cal State Fullerton where he earned his bachelor's degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations. During his time with the Titans, Pavletich was a part of two College World Series teams, four NCAA Regionals appearances, and Three Super Regional appearances as a player.
In 2018, Pavletich was named Big West Male Scholar Athlete of the Year representing Cal State Fullerton. In 2016, Pavletich hit an impressive .390 and was an All-Regional 3rd basemen in the Mississippi State Regional.
Before college, Pavletich attended Garces Memorial High School in Bakersfield, Calif. where he was a two-sport athlete. In addition to playing high school baseball, he was also a quarterback on the football team.
