FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton Titans earned their 41st bid to the NCAA Tournament Monday when they were selected as the No. 3 seed in the Stanford Regional.
Fullerton is back in the NCAA postseason for the first time since 2018. The last two times the Titans were in a regional (2017 & 2018) they were sent to the Stanford Regional, and both times they advanced to the Super Regionals.
The Titans will open the regional against No. 2 Texas A&M Friday night at 7:00 p.m. at Sunken Diamond and will be aired on ESPN 2. They are joined in the regional by the host team Stanford and No. 4 seed San Jose State.
The Titans finished the regular season with a 31-22 record, reaching 30 wins for the first time since 2018, and a 20-10 conference record. Fullerton's 20 wins in conference play is the most since 2013.
Fullerton earned the Big West automatic bid after finishing in second place in the conference while UC San Diego is ineligible for the postseason due to the NCAA's transition rule.
