Fullerton Comes Up Short in Rubber Match at TCU

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Cal State Fullerton dropped game three of its series to TCU Sunday afternoon at Lupton Stadium by a final score of 6-1. 

With the loss the Titans suffer their first series loss since February against Michigan. Fullerton is now 28-15 on the season. 

The Titans struck first, scoring in the top of the third inning on a wild pitch that was compounded by an error which allowed Maddox Latta

TCU came back to take the lead in the fifth inning, scoring two runs to take a 2-1 lead. The Horned Frogs extended their lead to 6-1 in the sixth inning. 

Evan Yates suffered his first loss of the season to drop to 1-1 on the year. Yates allowed five earned runs on nine hits in 5.1 innings of work. 

Fullerton looks to bounce back Tuesday as the team heads to UCLA for its final midweek game of the season. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. PT.
