FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Cal State Fullerton took game one over TCU Friday night at Lupton Stadium by a final score of 2-1. With the win the Titans improve to 28-13 on the year.
Tyler Stultz gave the Titans another quality start in Friday night's pitchers duel. Stultz allowed just one run on seven hits in six innings pitched while only issuing one walk and striking out five batters. The senior is now 6-3 this season.

The Titans took a 2-0 lead in the top of the third inning after taking advantage of back-to-back two-out walks drawn by Jack Haley and Moises Guzman. With runners on first and second, Zach Lew singled to center field to score Haley and put the Titans up 1-0.

With two-outs still on the board, Caden Connor came up with an RBI single through the right side of the infield to drive in Guzman and make it a 2-0 Titans lead. Fullerton has scored 89 times with two outs this season.

Fullerton was held scoreless from the third inning on, but the Titan pitching staff did its job to limit the Horned Frogs to just one run. TCU got on the board in the sixth inning on a solo home run by Brayden Taylor.
Peyton Jones was first out of the bullpen for the Titans in the seventh inning. Jones pitched a clean 1-2-3 seventh inning to keep the Titans lead intact.
Jojo Ingrassia earned his sixth save of the year after pitching the final two frames. Ingrassia allowed just one hit while striking out two batters.

The Titans look to secure the series victory Saturday afternoon in game two at TCU. First pitch is set for 2:00 p.m. PT.
