Game Notes

FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton hits the road for its first midweek matchup of the year against No. 8 UCLA at Jackie Robinson Stadium Tuesday night.

The Titans (3-3) are coming off a series loss against San Diego last weekend while UCLA (4-3) heads into the contest after defeating fellow Big West rival, UC Irvine, in a three game series.

UCLA came into the season as the No. 2 team in the country and after somewhat of a slow start to the season have dropped back to No. 8 but are certainly still one of the top teams in the country.

Fullerton will send freshman Christain Rodriguez to the mound Tuesday night against the Bruins. Rodriguez has shown his talent in two appearances this season, pitching 3.1 innings and giving up just two hits while not allowing any runs and striking out four batters.
