Fullerton Shows Promise in First Fall Game

Fullerton Shows Promise in First Fall Game

LAS VEGAS – The Titans competed in their first fall game of the 2019-20 season Saturday afternoon against UNLV and showed promise for the upcoming season.

While the scoreboard didn't reflect Fullerton's performance, the team did put on a strong showing throughout 14 innings. The first seven inning game ended in a 0-0 tie while the second seven inning game came to a conclusion with UNLV winning 3-1.

Titans ace, Tanner Bibee, pitched just one inning on the day and looked strong, walking one batter while striking out one and not allowing a hit. Fullerton's pitching staff looked good throughout the day, allowing just seven hits while giving up only three runs.

Kyle Luckham showed his strength both on the mound and at the plate, pitching two innings, giving up just one hit while striking out two batters. In the second game of the afternoon he went 2-for-3 at the plate with one RBI.

Kameron Guangorena had a solid showing for the Titans as he went 2-for-3 at the plate, starting off the day with back-to-back singles.

Fullerton wraps up its fall schedule on Nov. 15 as it hosts UC San Diego at Goodwin Field with first pitch scheduled for 5:00 p.m. PT.
