FULLERTON, Calif. – Coming off a tough series loss against UC Davis, the Titans are set to host Grand Canyon University in a midweek matchup at 6:00 p.m. at Goodwin Field.
The Titans head into the meeting with a 19-24 overall record after dropping two of three to Davis. The Lopes are 28-19 overall and coming off a series sweep against CSU Bakersfield this past weekend.
Fullerton has never lost to Grand Canyon in the program's history with a perfect 8-0 record since their first meeting in 1987. The two teams met last year for a three-game series where the Titans swept the Lopes at Goodwin Field.
Mitchell Berryhill continues to have a career year ranking fourth in the nation with a .426 batting average. If Berryhill keeps his batting average above .400 he would set the record for highest average in a single season in the history of the program.
Dillon Brown has been dominant as of late only allowing three runs in 10 innings over his last four appearances. Among the Titans with more than eight innings thrown this season, he leads the team with a 1.71 ERA in 31.2 innings of work.
Due to scheduling conflicts, the rescheduled game vs. Washington on Monday, May 7 has been CANCELLED. Individual ticket holders will be contacted by the Athletics Ticket Office and issued an exchange for another game this season or a refund.
