FULLERTON, Calif. – In a hard-fought pitchers duel Cal State Fullerton (18-23, 5-8) fell to UC Davis (16-23, 7-9) by a final score of 3-1 Friday night at Goodwin Field.

Tanner Bibee had a great game for Titans on the mound, pitching the first complete game of his career while allowing just three earned runs and striking eight strikeouts. Bibee threw a career-high 133 pitches Friday night. Even with the great game, the sophomore receives the loss to move to 5-7 on the season.

Brett Erwin earned the win for UC Davis after pitching six innings and giving up one earned run to move to 5-3 this season. Steve Ouellette picked up the save for the Aggies as he got the final two outs of the game for his fifth save of the season.

The Titans and Aggies return to action Saturday for a rare day game on a Saturday with first pitch scheduled for 2:00 p.m. PT.
