NEW YORK - Cal State Fullerton had three more players selected on the third and final day of the 2016 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft on Saturday.

Scott Serigstad, Timmy Richards and Miles Chambers were each taken on the final day of the draft, which ran through rounds 11-40.

Coupled with the four players taken on day two, the Titans had seven players taken overall in the 2016 MLB Draft, the most since seven Fullerton players were taken in the 2014 MLB Draft.

Serigstad was the first Titans player selected on Saturday, going in the 15th round to the Milwaukee Brewers, who selected the Fullerton right-hander with the 441st overall pick.

A transfer out of Orange Coast College, Serigstad was electric in his first season at Cal State Fullerton. The Placentia, Calif. native led the Titans with 27 appearances out of the bullpen and also recorded a team-high four saves for the Titans. Serigstad posted a 2-1 record with a 1.22 ERA, allowing just seven earned runs in 51 and 2/3 innings pitched. He fanned 55 batters on the season and opponents batted .176 against him, the lowest average against a Titans pitcher with at least 50 innings pitched.

The 6-foot-1 right-hander earned a spot on the Big West All-Conference Second Team in 2016. He made 10 appearances in conference action, going 1-1 with a 0.83 ERA. All four of his saves came in conference games and they were all of the multi-inning variety. Serigstad struck out 25 batters in 21 and 2/3 innings during Big West play.

In the 18th round, the Minnesota Twins selected Titans shortstop Timmy Richards with the 543rd overall pick. Richards was the sixth Fullerton player selected overall and second position player.

The Long Beach, Calif. native had a career year in 2016, leading the Titans with nine home runs after hitting just one in his first two seasons at Fullerton.  He played in 55 games for Fullerton and batted a career-best .280 with 61 hits and 38 runs scored, all career bests. He led the Titans with 22 extra-base hits including 12 doubles and was second on the team with a .468 slugging percentage. He was also second on the team with 10 stolen bases, also a career high.

Richards earned his first career selection to the Big West All-Conference Team, garnering a first team selection. In conference play, Richards hit four home runs and drove in 15 RBIs while scoring 15 runs.

In three seasons with the Titans, Richards has played in 140 games, making 132 starts. He has recorded 115 total hits including 21 doubles, two triples and 10 home runs with 64 RBIs. He has stolen 19 bases and drawn 61 walks while scoring 79 runs.

The third and final Titans player selected in the 2016 MLB Draft, right-hander Miles Chambers was the fifth Fullerton pitcher taken as he went in the 20th round (608th overall) to the New York Yankees. Chambers was the second Titans player selected by the Yankees in the 2016 MLB Draft.

Chambers appeared in 20 games for the Titans in 2016, posting a 3-1 record with a career-best 0.98 ERA. He recorded one save, the second of his career, and struck out 21 batters in 27 and 2/3 innings pitched.
