TEMPE – Cal State Fullerton's 2015 recruiting class was ranked the No. 24 recruiting class in the nation, according to Collegiate Baseball newspaper's annual evaluation, it was released Tuesday.

Fullerton's class ranks first among Big West Conference opponents, ahead of No.  36 UC Santa Barbara. The Titans recruiting class also ranks second amongst teams in California, trailing only UCLA at No. 6 and ahead of No. 34 USC.

Florida received the top ranking this season with South Carolina, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt rounding out the top-five.

The Titans 2015 recruiting class features newcomers Chris Ceballos, Erik Cha, Brett Conine, Colton Eastman, Coby Kauhaahaa, Hank Loforte, Josh Rios, Gavin Velasquez, Zach Weisz, Blake Workman and Ruben Cardenas.

Cha, Conine, Eastman, Rios, Velasquez and Workman each traveled with the Titans to the 2015 World University Games in Gwangju, Korea where Fullerton finished in fourth place.

Cha was a Perfect Game Underclass Honorable Mention in 2013 and 2014 and was rated as the 31st best prospect in the state by Perfect Game. He posted a 1.55 ERA in 59 and 2/3 innings as a senior at Ruben Ayala High School in Chino Hills, Calif. He recorded 58 strikeouts and was named first team All Sierra League.

Conine comes to Fullerton from El Modena High School where he was named to the All-Century League second team as a junior and posted a 1.75 ERA in 30 innings pitched with 22 strikeouts. As a senior, Conine was named to the All-County Team by the Orange County Register after going 6-2 with 91 strikeouts in 78 innings.

Rios was named first team All-Moore League as a senior and earned Team MVP honors at Long Beach Poly. He was also named second team All-CIF.

Velasquez went 6-3 with a 1.14 ERA in 57 innings as a senior at South Hills High School. He recorded 57 strikeouts and earned first team All-Palomares League honors.

Cardenas batted .420 with three home runs and 32 RBI in his senior season at Bishop Alemany High School. The outfielder was named first team All-State, All-CIF and All-Mission League. He was drafted in the 37th round by the Miami Marlins.

Kauhaahaa batted .379 with a .444 on-base percentage and slugged .586 in his last season at Valencia (Placentia) High School. He earned first team All-Empire League honors and was also named All-County. 

LoForte batted .414 with two home runs and 22 RBI on his way to earning All-Delta Valley Conference honors at Franklin High School.

Workman is a 6-foot-3 right-hander that went 6-5 with a 1.43 ERA in 68 innings at Ramona High School. Workman recorded 73 strikeouts as a senior and also hit .380 with a pair of home runs, earning first team All-Valley League honors. He was also named the Valley League's Pitcher of the Year.

Ceballos batted .422 and set a new Chino Hills High School record with 12 home runs in his senior season. He was named first team All-State, All-Sierra and Baseline League and earned team MVP honors.

Weisz was a Perfect Game 2014 Honorable Mention and was a team captain at La Jolla Country Day High School as a senior.
