2008 NCAA BASEBALL SUPER REGIONALS | |
Cal State Fullerton will play host to the best-of-three NCAA Baseball Super Regionals this weekend at Goodwin Field with a berth to the College World Series on the line.
The Titans will host rival Stanford in the series beginning on Friday night (June 6) at 7:30 p.m. Game two of the super regional will be on Saturday (June 7) at 4:30 p.m., with game three (if needed) on Sunday (June 8) at 4 p.m. All three contests will be televised nationally on the ESPN family of networks. Games one and three will be televised on ESPN2 with game two taking center stage on ESPN. HOW THEY GOT HERE... Stanford also advanced out of the loser's bracket to claim its regional title in Palo Alto, Calif., defeating second-seeded Pepperdine, 9-7, on Monday to advance. The Cardinal fell to fourth-seeded UC Davis, 4-2, in the opener before winning four straight over Arkansas (5-1), the Aggies (8-4), and the Waves (13-1). |
