TRACK & FIELD SENIOR (2017)
Opened up the season at the Riverside City 4-Way with a personal-best time of 4:05.22 in the 1,500-meter race ... Ran the 5K at the Ben Brown Invite and posted a time of 15:12.19 ... Clocked a 3K time of 8:51.13 at the Trojan Invitational ... Improved his 5K time at Bob Larsen Distance Carnvial with a time of 14:56.41 ... Posted a personal-best time of 14:51.71 at the Steve Scott Invitational ... Doubled in the 5K and 10K at the Big West Championships, taking 13th place in the 10K (32:47.94) and 15th place in the 5K (15:18.19).
CROSS COUNTRY REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2016)
Represented the Titans in six meets during the season ... Opened the season with a ninth-place finish in the 8K at the Mark Covert Classic with a time of 25:49.9 ... Helped lead the Titans to a win USD Invite 8K with a time of 25:58 that was good for ninth place overall ... Clocked a time of 25:58.9 in the 8K at the Big West Championships that was good for 22nd place overall as the men's squad took third place overall ... The Titans took 15th place at the NCAA West Regional with Casco taking 75th place in the 10K with a time of 31:16.3. It was the men's squad's first top-three finish at the league championships since 1993.
TRACK AND FIELD JUNIOR (2016)
Competed in two events for the Titans...placed fifth in the 1500 meters with a personal-best of 4:07.47 at the Riverside CC 4-Way Invitational…ran the 5,000 meters at the Cal State Fullerton Five-Way Meet and finished 12th with a time of 16:06.16.
CROSS COUNTRY REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2015)
In Cal State Fullerton’s final three events of the year finished as the Titans’ second runner behind Jose Penaloza…at the Highlander Invitational on a 6k course, finished 14th overall in a time of 18:29.26 (10/17)…at the Big West Championship in Riverside, Calif., his time of 25:17.35 on the 8k course was good for 27th overall (10/31)…at the NCAA West Regional in Seattle, completed the 10k course in a time of 33:10.7, finishing 103rd overall (11/13).
TRACK & FIELD SOPHOMORE (2015)
Participated in three events during the spring: the 3,000 meters (9:04.53, 18th), at the UCR Spring Classic (9:04.53, 18th), the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:02.4, 7th) at the Big West Challenge and the 5,000 meters (15:39.03, 38th) at the Steve Scott Invite.
CROSS COUNTRY SOPHOMORE (2014)
Did not compete in any events.
TRACK & FIELD FRESHMAN (2014): Competed in six events for the Titans during the 2014 outdoor track and field season... ran the 1500-meter once this season and recorded a personal-best time of 4:09.32 to place ninth at the Riverside CC Meet on March 8... competed in the 5000-meter run four times this season and recorded a career-best time of 15:25.63 to finish 15th at the UC Irvine Spring Break Invite on March 22... also ran the 10,000-meter this season at the Cal/Nevada Championships and finished 18th with a time of 33:41.90.
CROSS COUNTRY FRESHMAN (2013): Competed in five events, placing in the overall top-30 in two…ran a season-best 26:06.6 over the 8K course at the Titan Invitational on Oct. 25, finishing 40th overall…posted his best finish at the CSUSB Invite on Sept. 28, covering the 8K course in 26:48.7 to finish fifth overall, and first among Fullerton participants…competed in one 6K event on Oct. 19, finishing in 36th place with a mark of 18:57.4 at the Highlander Invitational.
MARTIN LUTHER KING HIGH SCHOOL
Two-year varsity letter winner in cross country and track for the Wolves under head coach Brad Peters... was named the team's Most Valuable Player and earned All-CIF honors during his senior season... was named Rookie of the Year for cross country in 2011... set personal best times in the 800m (2:06), 1600m (4:24), 3200m (9:39), and 5000m (15:29).
PERSONAL
Born in Riverside, Calif... parents are Eddie and Betty... has one sister, Ariel... majoring in computer science... lists becoming an optometrist as his career goal... chose Fullerton because of the engineering program... makes videos and dances on his free time... favorites include: Orlando Magic (basketball team), Allen Iverson (athlete), Helicopter Showdown, Ellie Goulding and Lemaitre (musical artists).
