PRs And Pancakes Is Huge Success

FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton Cross Country program raised over $8,000 this weekend at the team's annual PRs and Pancakes Fundraiser on Saturday at Joe's No Limits Bar & Grill in Fullerton.

"I'm very pleased with the turnout and support we received for the Clash of the Titans Alumni Run along with the PR's & Pancakes fundraising event after the run," coach John Elders said. "It was great to connect with our alums, parents, faculty and staff that attended the event. It was a fun way to kick-off to the cross country season and everybody seemed to have a good time. I'm also very grateful for the generous financial support we received from those that attended. That was really cool."

The day started with a Clash of the Titans 5K Run at 8 a.m. and was followed with the pancakes fundraiser an hour later. Numerous donors, alumni and families of Fullerton student-athletes came out in great support of the Titan Cross Country program as all proceeds of the fundraiser benefited Fullerton Cross Country.

Cal State Fullerton Cross Country will start their season this weekend as the Mark Covert Classic is slated for Saturday at 8 a.m. in Brea, Calif. at Carbon Canyon Regional Park. Those interested in attending the event will be admitted for free, but parking at the park on weekends is $5 per vehicle.

The Mark Covert Classic Cross Country Invitational is hosted by Cal State Fullerton and will begin with the Men's 8K at 8:30 a.m. PT, while the Women's 5K will follow at 9:15 a.m. PT.
