RIVERSIDE, CALIF. – Charles Kelly broke the school record in the men's 110H on final day of the UCR Invitational. The previous time of 14.20 (1.9) set by Mason Guzman-Sanchez in 2018 would be replaced by Kelly's winning time of 14.15 (0.4). Teammate Matt Cohen set a new personal best as well in the 110H after running 14.78 (0.4). Cohen's time was good enough for fourth place overall.

Freshman Nathyn Scruggs finished second in the men's 100m dash with a time of 10.86 and came back in the men's 200m to take second with a time of 21.68. Parris Samaniego won the men's 400m dash in a cruising time of 48.08. Sam Ayala (1:52.79) took first in the men's 800m after unleashing a monster kick in the last 250-meters of the race.

In the women's 100H, Karyn Best (So) ran a new season's best of 14.69 (0.1). Deja Allain and Toren Dunbar finish second and third in the women's open 400m dash. Allain came back in the women's 200m to run 24.80 and secure a third-place finish. Meanwhile, Naiah Boardingham finished third in the women's 100m dash with a wind legal time of 12.10 (0.7).

LONG BEACH, CALIF. – Earlier this morning, our Titan throwers began their day of competition at Jack Rose Track in Long Beach, California. Freshman Andrea Woods won the women's javelin with a throw of 36.56m. Sinai Fatafehi took third in the women's hammer after a toss of 53.08m.

For the men, Conor Anderson threw 59.39 in the hammer throw which was good enough for second place. Davis Yasuda finished third in the men's javelin after a throw of 57.03m. Corey Gilbert added a third-place finish in the men's discus after a throw of 52.94m during his fifth attempt.

The Titans jump squad will be begin their action tomorrow for Day Two of the Long Beach Throw/Jumps Fest.
