FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton track and field student-athlete Sandra Flores was named Big West Women's Track Athlete of the Week while Trevor Gorwin earned Big West Men's Field Athlete of the Week for their performances at the Titan Twilight.

Flores (La Quinta, Calif./La Quinta HS) earned Big West Women's Track Athlete of the Week accolades as she finished in first place at the Titan Twilight. She ran a personal-best 800 meter time of 2:11.11 to win the race. The time also was the sixth-best in the Big West this season.

Gorwin (Yucca Valley, Calif./Yucca Valley HS) turned in two solid performances at the Titan Twilight to capture Big West Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors. The thrower came in first place in the shot put, posting a season-best mark of 56-03 (17.14m) – the No. 4 mark in the conference this year. He also finished as a runner-up in the hammer throw, clearing 194-02 (59.18m). Gorwin is currently No. 4 on the Big West performance list in the hammer with a season-best 198-03.
