FULLERTON, Calif. - Kynnedi McCall and David Potts are the seventh and eighth student-athlete to sign National Letters of Intent to join the Cal State Fullerton track and field program in the fall of 2019.
McCall, a native of Bakersfield, will graduate from Bakersfield High School this spring before joining the Titans in the fall. She is a sprinter that will focus on the 200 meters and 400 meters. She posted personal-best times of 24.96 in the 200 meters and 54.61 in the 400 meters at the West Coast Relays. She took fourth place at the Arcadia Invitational with a 400-meter time of 55.15. Of the eight 400-meter races she ran during the 2019 season, that fourth-place finish at Arcadia was the only one she didn't win.

Potts graduated from E. Roosevelt High School in Corona and then attended Mt. San Antonio College for two years. In high school he had personal best marks of 53-4.75 in the shot put and 169-1 in the discus. At Mt. SAC, he took third place in the shot put at the 2018 CCCAA California State Championships with a personal-best toss of 51-0.25 (15.55m). In the same meet, he took fifth place in the discus at 156-0 (47.54m). His personal-best toss of 160-2 (48.81m) in the discus at the 2018 CCCAA Southern California Regional Prelims and Championships.
