FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's and women's track and field wrapped up day two of the Ben Brown Invitational on Saturday despite rain and cold weather throughout the day.

Charles Kelly took first place among DI runners in the men's 400-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 55.76. In the 100-meter hurdles, Mason Guzman-Sanchez (14.72, +0.3 wind) and Kelly (14.87, +0.2 wind) went 1-2 among DI runners in the 110-meter hurdles. Those two times are season-bests for Guzman-Sanchez and Kelly since last week's times were wind-aided.

The quartet of Luis Matos, Rasaun House, Kasey Cory and Thaddeus Smith clocked a time of 40.79 in the 4x100-meter relay to take first place overall. The women took first place overall as well with a time of 46.29 run by Alayah Byers, Kiana Clay, Tatiana Bell and Naiah Boardingham.

Bell (12.17, -0.7 wind) and Byers (12.31, -0.7 wind) went 1-2 in the women's 100m for DI competitors. Bell then clocked a season-best time of 25.09 (+0.5 wind) in the 200 meters, good for second place among DI runners.

Smith posted a season-best time of 48.99 in the men's 400m to take second among DI runners while House clocked a time of 49.01 in 3rd place. Morgan Love was the top DI runner in the women's 400m with a time of 60.23.

Edwin Matthews won the men's high jump competition with a personal-best clearance of 6-10.75 (2.10m). Anthony Cable II took third place overall in the men's long jump with a mark of 21-8 (6.60m, +0.5 wind). Laura Hamann won the women's long jump with a mark of 17-4.25 (5.29m, +0.3 wind) and right behind her in second place was Iesha Hamm at 17-2 (5.23m, +1.1 wind). Hamann also took first place among DI jumpers in the triple jump with a mark of 38-0.25 (11.59m), +0.7 wind). Bryn Williamson and Alysse McMillen both cleared 12-3.5 (3.75m) in the pole vault, taking first and second place, respectively, among DI competitors.

In her first ever outdoor 5K, Samantha Huerta won the women's race with a time of 17:13.53. Right behind her in second place was Trinity Ruelas with a time of 17:15.82. Chris Malloy (4:25.57) and Erick Juarez (4:25.59) went 1-2 in the men's mile among DI competitors. Danny Ramirez was first among DI runners in the men's 5K with a personal-best time of 14:44.93. Jorge Sanchez (14:49.18) and Jake Smith (14:49.25) were second and third for the Titans.

The Titans return to action next weekend with some potential split-squad action as both the UC Irvine Spring Break Invitational (March 16) and the USC Trojan Invite (March 16-17) are both on the schedule.
