He clocked his fastest time of the year, 47.28, which ranks No. 3 in the Big West.

Zimmerman previously earned Big West Men's Track Athlete of the Week accolades on April 4 after recording personal-bests in two events at the UCLA Legends Invite. Zimmerman ran a 10.57 in the 100 meters and blazed to a 21.16 finish in the 200 meters.   

The Titans have totaled six Big West weekly awards in 2017.

The Titans return to action on Friday and Saturday at the Big West Conference Championships hosted by Cal State Fullerton at Titan Track Complex.
