LA JOLLA, Calif. --- The Cal State Fullerton freshman trio of Breanne Monrroy, Bertha Sola and Ciera Williams competed for the Titans in the first day of competition at the Triton Invitational at Triton Track & Field Stadium on Friday.
In the women's discus throw open, Sola placed 12th with a mark of 44.48 meters, while Monrroy finished 24th with a throw of 35.93 meters.
In the women's hammer throw invitational, Williams placed 30th at 41.71 meters, and Monrroy finished 32nd with a mark of 40.44 meters.
Cal State Fullerton resumes competition in the Triton Invitational on Saturday, while the team will also be competing at the Michael Johnson Invitational in Waco, Texas.
