LOS ANGELES --- Junior Arianna Fuentes set a new personal best in the 5,000 meters to lead the Cal State Fullerton outdoor track and field team at the UCLA Legends of Track & Field Invitational at Drake Stadium on Friday.

Fuentes clocked a time of 16:47.68 in the 5,000 meters, besting her PR she set earlier this season at the Ben Brown Invitational by 43 seconds. The time is the second fastest in Cal State Fullerton history.

Junior Fanny Giron improved her PR in the 800 meters by more than a second as she clocked a time of 2:13.17, finishing fourth.

Senior Joe Casco set a new personal best in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:56.51, while junior Pamela Pelayo's time of 11:13.56 in the 3,000 meter steeplechase was also a new PR.

Cal State Fullerton returns to action on Saturday at the UCLA Legends Invite.
