Boulder, Colo. - The Cal State Fullerton women's indoor track and field team wrapped up competition on Saturday at the CU Invitational in Boulder.

"We had PRs galore," head coach John Elders said. "In the 60 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters and the 60-meter hurdles. And then yesterday the ladies in the weight throw had personal bests as well. But today, Kyra (Anderson) making the final of the 60-meter hurdles was one of the highlights of the day for sure. I'm really pleased with how the girls competed and it is a great facility to compete in. This is a great meet and we are definitely coming back next year."

Hailey Murdica clocked a time of 7.73 in the final of the 60-meter dash to take seventh place, just ahead of Alayah Byers who finished with a time of 7.82. The duo both clocked personal-best times in the preliminaries to reach the final with Murdica at 7.69 and Byers at 7.78. Kyra Anderson also set a personal best in the preliminaries with a time of 7.79. Anderson posted a personal-best time of 8.61 in the 60-meter hurdles final to take fourth place.

Kiana Clay (25.23) and Murdica (25.25) both clocked personal-best times in the 200-meter sprint to take sixth and seventh place, respectively. Mariah Stewart's personal-best time of 25.55 was good for ninth place overall. Clay also took sixth place in the 400 meters at a personal-best time of 57.28 while Mia Franco was in seventh with a personal-best time of 57.32.

"Iesha Hamm winning the high jump on Friday was the best performance of the weekend," Elders said. "It was her first meet of the season, she hasn't been training very long at all and for her to have three really good attempts at 5-10.5 (1.79m) is a testament to how great of an athlete she is. She is definitely capable of clearing 6-0 (1.83m) and that would likely get her into the NCAA Indoor Championships."

"We'll be taking 21 student-athletes to the Husky Classic next weekend and hopefully we can build on the momentum we have from this meet," Elders said.

The Titans return to Seattle next weekend for the Husky Classic on Friday and Saturday.
