FULLERTON, Calif. – Head coach John Elders released the 2017 women's indoor track and field schedule on Monday, revealing where the team will begin competition after the new year.

"We're looking forward to our indoor season," Elders said. "Our schedule will provide high-level competition for our team. With a strong group of returning student-athletes and talented newcomers, this indoor season promises to be our best ever."

The action begins Saturday, Jan. 21 at the Lumberjack Team Challenge hosted by Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, Ariz.

The Titans will then travel to Seattle for the UW Invitational hosted by Washington beginning on Friday, Jan. 27.

A season ago, the Titans shattered two school records at the UW Invitational as Sierra Ungerman set a new school mark in the one-mile run with her time of 5:05.24. In addition, Ungerman, along with her teammates India Owens, Stephanie Cortez and Emily Taylor, also shattered the school record for the distance medley relay, running a total time of 12:16.73.

In February, the Titans will split their squads sending a group of student-athletes back to Seattle for the Husky Invitational (Feb. 10-11), while the rest of the squad will compete in the Don Kirby Invitational (Feb. 10-11) hosted by New Mexico in Albuquerque.

The Titans will conclude the regular season at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships in Seattle from Feb. 24-25.

Last season, the Titans set three new school records at the MPSF Championships as Ungerman bettered her previous record-setting one-mile time to 5:02.83. In the 4x400 relay, the quartet of Owens, Morgan Love, Zuri Henderson and Tyler Hardge bested the previous record by almost two whole seconds, posting a time of 3:47.95. The quartet of Ungerman, Henderson, Cortez and Taylor recorded a time of 12:07.48 to once again rewrite the record books in the medley relay.

The NCAA Indoor Championships will take place in College Station, Texas, from March 10-11.
