Fullerton Mourns Loss of Longtime Staffer Mindy Reeves

FULLERTON, Calif. – Mindy Reeves, a longtime staffer on the Cal State Fullerton table crew, lost her two-year battle with cancer on Wednesday.

A member of the Fullerton Athletics Department since 2002, throughout her tenure Reeves assisted with various responsibilities at men’s and women’s soccer matches and baseball and softball games in addition to her main duty as Fullerton’s stat crew inputter at volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball games.

“Mindy was an important part of Cal State Fullerton Athletics and she will be deeply missed,” Assistant Sports Media Director Rafael Guerrero said. “She worked tremendously hard, but more importantly, she was a remarkable person.”

The 49-year-old was well-known throughout the Big West Conference working at other member schools, and was also part of the table crew at the Big West Conference Tournament, NCAA Regionals, Wooden Legacy as well as many other collegiate events in the area.

A memorial service for Reeves will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 29 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Ontario, Calif.

The Reeves family requests that floral arrangements be sent directly to the church or a donation made in Mindy's honor to the American Cancer Society.

In October of 2014, Reeves and the Cal State Fullerton table crew were featured in an article from the OC Register.
