Big West ESPN ReleaseIRVINE, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton will have 10 combined games between baseball and softball broadcast on the ESPN family of networks in 2016, it was announced Thursday.
A total of 12 Big West baseball games and six softball contests will be showcased across ESPNU and ESPN3 platforms this spring.
On the baseball side, the Titans will be showcased on ESPN3 five times during the 2016 season and once on ESPNU. The television slate begins on Friday, April 1 as the Titans host CSUN for the Big West Conference opener. It is one of four home games (April 15 vs. UC Davis; May 20-21 vs. Hawai'i) that will be showcased on ESPN3.
On Tuesday, April 26, the Titans will host UCLA at Goodwin Field at 7:30 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
Turning to softball, all four games broadcast on the ESPN family of networks will feature the Titans, including two games on the national stage with ESPNU.
The Titans host UC Davis for a doubleheader from Anderson Family Field on Saturday, April 16 with both games slated for ESPN3.
On April 27, the doubleheader between Long Beach State and the Titans at Anderson Family Field will get the national television treatment as both games will be shown on ESPNU.
In addition, a wildcard doubleheader will be selected between the Hawai'i vs. Long Beach State or UC Santa Barbara vs. Cal State Fullerton matchups on Saturday, May 14.
