Titans Victorious on Day Two

ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, Calif. – Freshman Sarah Nuno and junior Alexis Valenzuela each advanced in the singles consolation bracket on Friday with a pair of victories at the Jack Kramer Invitational held at the Jack Kramer Club.

Valenzuela defeated Loyola Marymount's Andrea Crespo, 6-4, 6-2, while Nuno won the first set before LMU's Tatijana Sheikhan retired in the second set.

Nuno is scheduled to play Baylor's Theresa Van Zyl in the fourth round on Saturday.

Junior Camille De Leon will also play in the fourth round of the consolation bracket on Saturday. She did not compete on Friday as her expected opponent withdrew.

In doubles action, De Leon and freshman Karla Portalatin defeated Arizona's Lauren Marker and Camila Westbrooks, 8-4, in the third round of the consolation bracket.
