Titans Face Tough Competition on Day One at Jack Kramer Invite

ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team had a tough start during the first day of competition at the Jack Kramer Invitational on Thursday.

Playing at the Jack Kramer Club, junior Alexis Valenzuela suffered  a 6-0, 4-6, 10-8 loss to UC Santa Barbara's Stefani Stojic in the round of 64.

In the round of 128, junior Camille De Leon was sent to the consolation bracket after a 6-2, 3-6, 10-3 defeat to USC's Alexandra E. Letzt.

Freshmen Sarah Nuno and Karla Portalatin also had singles losses in the round of 64.

In addition, Fullerton's doubles teams of De Leon and Portalatin and Nuno and Valenzuela did not advance beyond the round of 32.
