FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team is scheduled to play in the ITA West Regional co-hosted by San Diego State and San Diego at Barnes Tennis Center in the Point Loma area of San Diego beginning on Thursday.

The event features programs from all over the region including 11 teams from Southern California, three from Arizona and one from Hawaii. Players will participate in both singles and doubles action as the competition runs through Monday, Oct. 19.

The winner of the tournament in doubles and the finalists in singles will advance to the ITA National Indoors in November.

The Titans recently completed play at the Beach Tennis Tournament last weekend as the doubles team of Emilia Borkowski and Danielle Pham won its respective final in Flight B, while juniors Alexis Valenzuela and Camille De Leon reached the doubles final in Flight A.

The Titans totaled an 11-10 singles record last weekend as freshmen Masako Makiba, Carolen Fararji, Sarah Nuno and Isabel Donaldson made their respective Titan debuts.

In doubles play, the Titans combined for a 9-6 record as the team of Borkowski and Pham went an undefeated 4-0 in its flight on the way to the title.
