Titans Set to Compete at Jack Kramer Invitational

FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team will conclude its fall season of competition at the Jack Kramer Invitational held at the Jack Kramer Tennis Club in Rolling Hills Estates, Calif.

The competition begins Thursday and runs through Sunday.

Teams participating in the invitational include USC, Tulsa, UC Santa Barbara, LSU, Texas A&M, North Carolina State, Baylor, San Diego, UCLA, Pepperdine, UC Irvine and Loyola Marymount.

Entering this week, the Titans are 15-38 in singles actions, while CSF holds a record of 10-14 in doubles play.

Last Sunday, the team of Emilia Borkowski and Kalika Slevcove defeated Portland's Maja Mladenovic and Amanda Zuidema, 8-4, to take first place in the doubles black bracket on the third day of Matador Collegiate Invitational. In addition, Slevcove advanced to the finals of the singles silver bracket.

Following fall competition, the Titans will return to action in 2015, hosting Cal State Los Angeles in the team's season opener, Wednesday, Jan. 14 at Titan Tennis Courts.

Play Tennis with the Titans
The Cal State Fullerton women's tennis program invites tennis players of all levels to a morning of round robin doubles at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Titan Tennis Courts.

Participants will be teamed with a current or former member of the Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team, and will compete against other doubles teams in round-robin play.

 

"We're very excited to hold our second-annual Play with the Titans doubles event," second-year head coach Dianne Matias said. "The event is a great way for our student-athletes to interact with our Titan alumni, friends, family, and fans that support the program. We're looking forward to a good day of tennis and fun."


Cost to participate is $150 per player, and all proceeds go directly to the women's tennis program.
