NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – The team of Emilia Borkowski and Kalika Slevcove defeated Portland's Maja Mladenovic and Amanda Zuidema, 8-4, to take first place in the doubles black bracket on the third day of Matador Collegiate Invitational on Sunday.
The doubles team of Borkowski and Slevcove recorded the only Titans' win on Sunday as Slevcove dropped a 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 decision to Zuidema in the first place match of the singles silver bracket.
Rebekkah Ermac, also competing in the singles silver bracket, fell 6-2, 7-6 to UC Irvine's Cassidy Branstine in the third place match.
The Titans will compete in their final competition of the fall beginning Thursday at the Jack Kramer Invitational.
