Fall Schedule (PDF)

FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton pounded out 12 hits and had the tying runs in scoring position in the seventh inning but came up just short in a 8-6 loss to the USSSA Pride Wednesday night at Anderson Family Field in front of 1,082 fans.

Missy Taukeiaho went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI and Sammie Vandiver added two hits and two runs scored in the game. Sydney Golden pitched four innings of masterful relief, holding the Pride hitless. Sarah Moore was 2-for-4 with one RBI and Courtney Rodriguez added two hits and a walk.

The Pride took a 6-0 lead after the first inning but the Titans answered with a pair of runs in their half of the first and three in the second to cut the deficit to one. The Titans would get no closer as the Pride added runs in the sixth and seventh to put the game away.

The Pride is one of five NPF teams and is based in Kissimmee, Fla. The team was founded in 2009 and will play their 2015 home games at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. This will be the second game in the Pride's five-game fall tour that features games against CSUN, Cal Poly and Fresno State. The Pride defeated Arizona State 6-2 on Oct. 8 in the first game of the tour.

The USSSA Florida Pride is a professional franchise in the National Pro Fastpitch League that is owned and operated by USSSA. The amateur organization of USSSA has multi-sport coverage and encompasses teams and players from the United States and abroad.

The game kicked off the Titans fall schedule as they will play seven games in October and November to tune up for the 2016 season. They will host Arizona State at Anderson Family Field on Sunday at noon.
