FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton will open its fall schedule on Wednesday as the Titans host USSSA Pride on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. at Anderson Family Field.

The Pride is one of five NPF teams and is based in Kissimmee, Fla. The team was founded in 2009 and will play their 2015 home games at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. This will be the second game in the Pride's five-game fall tour that features games against CSUN, Cal Poly and Fresno State. The Pride defeated Arizona State 6-2 on Oct. 8 in the first game of the tour.

The USSSA Florida Pride is a professional franchise in the National Pro Fastpitch League that is owned and operated by USSSA. The amateur organization of USSSA has multi-sport coverage and encompasses teams and players from the United States and abroad.

General admission tickets for the game are on sale now for $5 and can be purchased by clicking here. Parking is $8 and can be purchased on site.

The Titans boast 22 returners to the 2016 roster and three newcomers. Fullerton boasted one of the nation's toughest schedules in 2014 and tallied 34 victories to finish in fourth place in the Big West Conference.

It was the first time the Titans have had consecutive 30-win seasons since the 2006-07 seasons. The Titans played 14 teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament and four teams (Michigan, Auburn, LSU, UCLA) that advanced to the NCAA Women's College World Series. Fullerton would win seven of the final 10 games of the season.

Missy Taukeiaho returns to the squad after earning NFCA All-American, Third Team honors in 2015 to go along with a First-Team All Big West Selection and First Team NFCA All Region nod. She became Fullerton's first two-time All-American since 2003 and the 39th All-American selection overall.

Sophomore Samantha Vandiver will look to improve on an outstanding freshman campaign in which she recorded a program record 24-game hitting-streak in her first 24 starts. She will take a team high 13-game streak into the 2016 season. The Huntington Beach, Calif. native posted the second highest average for a Titan in any single-season with a .459 clip, just shy of four-time first-team All-American Jenny Topping's mark of .472 in 2002. Batting from the left side, Vandiver surpassed Sue Lewis' 34-year reign for top freshman average (.408) in 1981.  The left fielder also earned Big West Player of the Week honors on March 9. Vandiver recorded a conference second-best .496 on-base percentage and led the circuit with 32 hits in 21 conference games while striking out only eight times over the course of the entire season. She was named NFCA All-West Region Second Team and earned Big West Co-Freshman Player of the Year honors en route to a first-team and all-freshmen team selection in 2015.

Along with the Pride, the Titans will play six more games during the fall including three at Anderson Family Field.
