With two victories to conclude the two-day event, the Titans reach 18-12, while Nebraska drops to 12-12 and Charleston Southern falls to 18-12. Fullerton posted a perfect 4-0 record at the Easton Tournament.

Cal State Fullerton will continue its 13-game home stand welcoming Buffalo for a doubleheader on Tuesday scheduled for 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. at Anderson Family Field in Fullerton, Calif.

GAME ONE: Cal State Fullerton 3, Nebraska 0

Fullerton junior left-hander Desiree Ybarra (8-6) continued her dominance over the weekend with another complete game shutout, scattering four hits and striking out four. The Riverside, Calif. native limited runners on the base paths by issuing only one walk to stifle the Nebraska hitters.

The Titans' offense got on the board early as junior Courtney Rodriguez smacked a triple into right center with two outs in the opening frame. A wild pitch from Nebraska starter Emily Lockman (5-7) brought Rodriguez home from third to give Fullerton a quick 1-0 lead.

CSF continued the offensive pressure in the fourth with back-to-back singles from Delynn Rippy and Samantha Vandiver, later followed by a Missy Taukeiaho walk to load the bases with zero outs. Rodriguez was a key contributor again, plating a pair of runs on a single to left to make it 3-0.

Rodriguez, a transfer from the University of Arizona and native of Scottsdale turned in a 3-for-3 performance, scoring once and collecting two RBIs. Vandiver (2-for-3) and Rippy (2-for-3) also recorded multi-hit games, combining for two runs scored and two RBIs.

Lockman tossed the full six innings in the loss, yielding three runs on nine hits, while striking out a quartet of Titans.

GAME TWO: Cal State Fullerton 5, Charleston Southern 1

Fullerton's Christina Washington (9-3) was given the nod to start in the night cap, following suit with a complete game of her own, giving up just one run on five hits. The left-hander struck out one and walked two.

The future of Titan softball shined against Charleston Southern with freshmen Samantha Vandiver and Bryanna Ybarra leading the offensive attack.

Similar to the Titans' first game of the day, Courtney Rodriguez got things going by drawing a walk and stealing second base just moments later. With one out, Ybarra roped a single up the box to score a speedy Rodriguez from second to place Fullerton out front 1-0.

Fullerton began a two-out rally in the bottom of the fourth with Delynn Rippy singling to center and advancing to second on another stolen base. Vandiver notched an RBI single, and Missy Taukeiaho continued the momentum with a run scoring single of her own to make it 3-0.

The Titans added a pair of insurance runs in the sixth with an RBI single from Ybarra and an RBI double by Melissa Sechrest. Ybarra chipped in a 2-for-3 performance, driving in two. Vandiver (2-for-3), who was recently honored as Big West Softball Player of the Week, continued to torch opposing pitching while scoring two runs.

CSU starter Jennifer Giles (5-6) was chased after three and two third innings, giving up three runs on five hits. Cheyenne Gandara entered in relief, tossing one and 1/3 frames of scoreless ball, while Hayley Elkins carded the final inning of work, yielding two runs on three hits.
