Successful Leadoff Dinner Leads to Opening Day

FULLERTON, Calif. -- The 2014 Titans softball team led off their February with an exciting Leadoff Dinner at the Meridian Club Saturday evening.

More than $15,000 was raised for the softball program involving 200 guests. The second annual program featured a silent auction and raffle in which more than 120 items left in the hands of the guests attending.  

Two alumnae speakers, Tobi Perkins and Terri (Young) Doucette, both team members of the inaugural season of softball at Cal State Fullerton in 1980 also took part in the festivities. 

Cal State Fullerton opens its season on Friday, Feb. 7 hosting the Easton Tournament and will face Loyola Marymount at 1 p.m. before welcoming the defending National Champion Oklahoma Sooners (Coach Ford's alma mater) to Anderson Family Field at 6 p.m.
