ESPNU Featuring Long Beach State at Cal State Fullerton Doubleheader

FULLERTON, Calif.-- ESPNU has announced that it will air the Big West softball doubleheader between Long Beach State and Cal State Fullerton on April 16. live from Anderson Family Field. The doubleheader will be broadcast beginning at 4:00 p.m., followed by game two starting at 6:30 p.m. on ESPNU. These two games are the only Big West softball games scheduled to air on ESPNU this year.

The matchup between Cal State Fullerton at Long Beach State will feature two programs that have combined for 15 Big West Championships. The rivalry includes this past year's Big West Freshman Field Player of the Year Darian Tautalafua and Big West Freshman Pitcher of the Year Jasmine Antunez

In the circle for the Titans, Antunez posted an 18-14 record with a 2.56 ERA, 174 strikeouts over 196 2/3 innings while leading them to victories in 12 of their last 15 games on the diamond. 

The Titans also return Big West All-Conference second team players Gabby Aragon, Eliza Crawford and Ariel Tsuchiyama. In 2013, Aragon finished strong for the Titans posting a .441 average with 15 hits, 11 runs scored, and seven RBI's. Crawford started all 56 games at third base, leading the team with eight home runs along with ten multi-hit games and ten multi-RBI games.

Catcher Ariel Tsuchiyama threw out 17 base runners in 2013, which ranked second in the Big West, while also recording nine doubles and 25 RBI's.
