FULLERTON, CA - The University has announced
that it will be seeking a new head coach for its women's softball
team. Michelle Gromacki, who achieved a 424-302-1 (.583) record in
her 13 seasons directing the program, will not be returning for the
2012-2013 season.
"I want to thank Coach Gromacki for her service to the
University," said Silas Abrego, Interim Vice President for Student
Affairs. "We wish her well."
Associate Head Coach Dee Dee Kingsbury will step in as interim
head coach of the Cal State Fullerton softball program until a
replacement is hired.
Kingsbury has been an assistant coach with the Titans for 10
years, the last four as associate head coach. Her responsibilities
have included development of the squad's pitching staff and
coordinating the team's recruiting efforts.
