FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's soccer team drew at home 2-2 on Sunday night against the New Mexico State Aggies.
The Titans dominated play for most of the game but the Aggies were able to equalize their way twice in the game to prevent the Titans from picking up their first win of the season.
Emelia Owen scored the first goal of the 2022 season in the 15th minute after a perfect through ball by Samantha McKenna to Owen who slotted it in between the keeper's legs.

However, the Aggies would immediately respond with a goal two minutes later to make it a 1-1 game.
The Titans did find the back of the net with five minutes to go until halftime. Freshman Kaylin Raibon whipped in a perfect cross down the right side to find a wide open McKenna for a header into the net to give the Titans a 2-1 lead.

The Titans came out firing in the second half with five shots in the first seven minutes with four of them on goal but they couldn't find the back of the net again.
The Aggies were able to find the equalizer in the 82nd minute after withstanding the Titans pressure in the beginning in the second half.
The Titans outshot their opponents 19-to-12. DeAira Jackson and Mia Ranson both had two saves a piece. Makenna Gottschalk made four saves for the Aggies.
The Titans will face UC Irvine on Thursday at 5:00 PM in a non-conference game. This game is part of a scheduled doubleheader with the men's soccer team, who will have their season opener against Cal at 7:30 p.m.
