FULLERTON, Calif. – In April, Cal State Fullerton women's soccer head coach Demian Brown inked his 2015 signing class to National Letters of Intent.
Throughout the summer, FullertonTitans.com will "Get to Know" the newest Titans, that will step on campus for the 2015-16 academic year.
The fourth Titan signee to join FullertonTitans.com for a Q&A is defender Amanda Larsson.

FullertonTitans.com: What interested you in attending college and playing soccer in the United States?
Amanda: What interested me in attending college and playing soccer in the United States was that coming to the U.S. has always been my dream since I was there for the first time in 2009. Moving to Southern California is just a bonus because I love the weather and the environment. What interested me the most was when I saw that coaches are interested in women's soccer in the United States. The U.S. is a country where it's not only men´s soccer that is important. But of course the biggest part why I want to go to college in the United States is that there is a place where I have a chance to combine both studies and soccer at such a good level.
FullertonTitans.com: Why did you decide to attend Cal State Fullerton and play for the Titans?
Amanda: Fullerton caught my interest from the beginning because a close friend of mine, Martina (Edberg), is a member of the women's golf team. And then I started talking to Head Coach Demian (Brown), and I saw the team play, and I felt right away that the soccer the program suited me well. And the location of school is just a bonus.
FullertonTitans.com: Tell us about your favorite moment on the soccer field?
Amanda: My favorite moment in soccer was when I played in the Gothia Cup (the biggest youth cup in the world) finals and we won. I played with girls that were two years older than me. It was just awesome and a moment and feeling I will never forget.
FullertonTitans.com: Your hometown in Sweden is on the coast, how similar or different is the weather compared to Southern California?
Amanda: The weather in Sweden where I live compared to the weather in Southern California is not similar at all. In my hometown we have winter, spring, summer and autumn. In California you only have summer.
FullertonTitans.com: Your favorite travel destination and why?
Amanda: My favorite travel destination is Thailand. I have been there twice and I just love it. I love the culture, the beaches and the shopping. And of course the weather! I love the beautiful islands you can visit, and it is a place where you just can relax and don't need to think very much, just enjoy.
FullertonTitans.com: Who is your favorite athlete and why?
Amanda: My favorite athlete is of course Swedish soccer player Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He plays for Paris Saint Germain. He always does his own thing and is a great player.
