EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon's Brooke Strawn headed home the game-winning goal in the 109th minute to give the Ducks at 2-1 victory over Cal State Fullerton on Sunday afternoon at Pape' Field.

The Titans (0-4-2), playing in their fifth overtime match of the year and their fourth in row,  lost in extra time for the third time this season.

"This is a hard loss to take," head coach Demian Brown said. "I thought this was one of our best performances of the season. Unfortunately, the match ended with another heartbreaking goal in overtime. As a team we remain committed to our season goals and look forward to our next match at Fresno State."

Oregon (4-1-1) struck first in the 15th minute when Cal State Fullerton was whistled for a hand ball in the box, and Lilly Archer hammered the penalty kick past Titan goalkeeper Jennifer Stuart.

Fullerton responded in the 20th minute when Ali White slipped a pass past the Ducks' defense to Rebecca Wilson, who beat Abby Steele one-on-one to tie the match at 1-1.

It was Oregon's first first-half score of the year as Fullerton's three previous goals had been scored after the 79th minute.

The score remained tied throughout the second half and first overtime until Strawn provided the match-winning goal for Oregon. Reilley Moore sent a free kick to the top of the box, and Archer headed the ball high into the air, but in the direction of the goal. Strawn tracked the ball in the air and put her head on it before she collided into a diving Stuart, allowing the ball to cross the goal line.

Cal State Fullerton remains on the road next week, traveling to Fresno State on Friday and Loyola Marymount on Sunday.
