Rose City Collegiate Day One Results
AURORA, Ore. – Senior Martina Edberg is currently tied for the overall individual lead after 36 holes at the Rose City Collegiate hosted by Portland State at Langdon Farms Golf Club in Aurora, Ore.
Edberg posted a 4-under 140 on Monday, posting consecutive rounds of 70 to sit atop the leaderboard after the first two rounds, tied with Elyse Smidinger of Oregon State. Valerie Hernandez of Portland State sits alone in third, one stroke back at 3-under while three other players are tied for fourth at 2-under.
The Titans senior posted nine birdies on the day including five in the second round. Four of her birdies came on the back-nine with only one of her five bogeys coming on the backstretch.
On the team side, the Titans posted a 19-over 595 through 36 holes, which places them fifth in the 15-team field. The Titans are 12 strokes back of first-place Sacramento State, which carded a 7-over 583 on day one. Oregon State is second at 585 with Portland State (588) and Seattle (592) rounding out the top five in the team standings.
Daniella Uy is currently tied for 16th after day one after posting a 4-over 148. She sat at 1-under after round one, just one stroke off the lead, but carded a 5-over 77 in the second round.
Pauline Welker carded the team's third best score of the day, going into the clubhouse with a 8-over 152. After posting a 6-over 78 in round one, Welker improved in the second round with a 2-over 74.
Brittany Farrell rounded out the Titans team scoring after posting a 11-over 155 through 36 holes while Elsa Lundquist posted a 165 while competing on the team side.
Brittney Sok and Felicia Medalla each competed as individuals at the Rose City Collegiate. Sok posted a 10-over 154 and is tied for 44th while Medalla posted a 14-over 158, which places her in a tie for 63rd in the 87-player field.
The Titans return to the links Tuesday for the final 18 holes with a shotgun start scheduled for 8 a.m.
